Ingredients:

  • 1 cup salted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs + 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 2 cups milk chocolate M&M’s

Instructions:

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.

Add the eggs, egg yolk, and vanilla, mixing until well combined.

Mix in the baking soda, baking powder, and salt until fully incorporated.

Gradually add the all-purpose flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.

Gently fold in the chocolate chips and M&M candies until evenly distributed.

Use a 3 tablespoon cookie scoop to portion out dough balls onto a lined baking sheet.

Chill the dough balls in the refrigerator while preheating the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Once preheated, place the chilled dough balls on the baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely. Makes about 20 cookies.
